Over the course of this unit, your child will work with a variety of materials to make and represent two-digit and three-digit numbers. She will develop an understanding of the role of "place" in math and will compose numbers using her grasp of tens and ones. As well, she will practice sequencing and comparing numbers up to 120. She will also begin to work with adding and subtracting larger numbers, skills that will be addressed again during Unit 9. For the unit's final project, your child will create a BINGO! game that requires her to represent numbers in different ways.
