Movie - Walking with the Dinosaurs - posted from ,
Stumbled upon this movie the week after implementing "Dinoweek" curriculum. It is great because it gives names and information about dinos as they are presented in the movie and talk about what they eat, how big they are, etc. Really cute, I enjoyed it as much as my son.
Virtual Tour of Dinosaur Skeletons - posted from ,
We found the virtual tour of the David H. Koch Hall of Fossils at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History to be a much more interesting exploration of dinosaur fossils than the photos found at the American Museum of Natural History provided in the lesson.
Tricky assembly - posted from ,
We were missing one vertebrae and had an extra leg. It was a good opportunity to talk about how all the bones can be mixed up at a dino dig site. There may be some bones missing or parts of another dinosaur mixed in. Fun!
Hanging Dinosaur - posted from Linton, ND
We hung our dinosaur by looping a string through the skull and hanging it from a light. This made assembling the dinosaur much simpler. As we put each bone in place, we secured it with a single drop of glue.
Supplement Book - posted from Garland, TX
We found "Dinosaur Tracks" also by Kathleen Zoehfeld inline with this lesson. It also talks about how some Dinosaurs lived in herds and why scientists came to that conclusion. Goes into details about the structures of many different dinosaurs.
Dino Puzzle - posted from Garland, TX
A 3D movable Dino Puzzle really brought the lesson to life. Added plus the pieces each have a letter and the puzzle fits in alphabetical order!

Dino Skeleton puzzle - posted from Anthony, NM
We used a hot glue gun and popsicle sticks (2 along each leg -from hip to knee, and then from knee to foot) to make our dino skeleton puzzle strong enough to stay in a standing position.
