Try to use throw-away containers, because the reusable containers are a monster to clean. If you do use reusable containers, scrape out as much gelatin as possible and then run hot water in the container to melt the rest. Hope this helps!

Be sure not to poke your gelatin, as ours grew mold and bacteria where my daughter poked each one. Hard to tell what was on her hand what is in the air. However, is was a great teaching lesson about how dirty your hands really are. If you have any extra gelatin, you may want to have your child touch it and watch the mold grow as a bonus lesson.
