Two tests may be affected by the samples that some customers receive.
If you received a soapstone-type talc (mineral A), in the streak test, the streak will just be slightly lighter than the other "dark streak" minerals. Your child should still mark this mineral as having a light streak.
Although quartz should not form bubbles in the acid test, some may bubble due to how the samples were processed. If your child's quartz sample (mineral B) bubbles, explain to him that it is a false result and he should assume that only mineral D (calcite) should bubble.
