Additional Reading - posted from Dhahran, Eastern Province

As a supplement to this unit, we read "Dear Primo, A Letter to My Cousin" by Duncan Tonatiuh. (It is about cousins living in Mexico and a US city. While Mexico is part of North America, it seemed to fit into the curriculum best in this lesson.) It showed the ways the cousins were different, but also emphasized that underneath, they were very similar. The art in the book was very well done and it was fun to look at the details.

We used the section on Anacondas and my daughter loved that it had video. I am linking the list of all the animals.
