Composting - posted from Dhahran, Eastern Province

This is a great place to talk about composting. We saved our vegetable scraps on day 1. On day 2, we poured them out on a tray and the kids had fun "Eeww"-ING and "Yuck"-ING over them. After watching a video on decomposition, we took the scraps outside, dug a hole, added the scraps, "brown material" (leaves, grass clippings, etc.), and water, then covered it up.

The boys had fun pretending they were pirates burying treasure. in a few weeks, we may dig it up to see what happened.
