How do I use MBTP as a supplement?

For people who want to use MBTP to supplement curriculum they are currently using, we recommend selecting a concept that your child will be interested in. As a supplement, we recommend taking an entire semester to implement a concept, rather than 8-9 weeks.

Many people use Moving Beyond the Page as their Science and Social Studies curriculum while using other programs for math, reading, and language arts.

To use MBTP as a Science and Social Studies supplement, we recommend using:

• Environment, Similarities and Differences, and/or Change at the 5-7 level
• Culture and/or Matter and Movement at the 6-8 level
• At the 7-9 and 8-10 level we recommend purchasing any of the Science and Social Studies packages without the literature units.

At the 7-9 and 8-10 level, you may choose to use our literature units. These units complement the corresponding Science and Social Studies units, but can be implemented independently as well.
