Lesson 1: Fraction Review
- The top number in a fraction is the numerator, and the bottom number is the denominator
Lesson 2: Fractions With Denominators 10 and 100
- To add fractions whose denominators are 10 and 100, first change the fraction with the denominator of 10 to an equivalent fraction that has a denominator of 100, leave the fraction with the denominator 100 as is, and then add the numerators
Lesson 3: Decimal Place Value
- Decimal point: most important part of a decimal number that shows where numbers begin getting larger than 1 (to the left of the decimal point) and where they begin getting smaller than 1 (to the right of the decimal point)
- Decimal number: a number that has a decimal point
- The first number to the right of the decimal point is called tenths (for example, 6.14). The second number to the right of the decimal point is called hundredths (for example, 6.14).

- Percent: a number that is a fraction of 100, written with the % symbol (for example, 50%)
