- A timeline is a chart that shows important events that occur over a given period of time.

- Every culture has original art.
- Artifacts are objects found by scientists, which were used by people long ago.
- Cultures change over time due to weather, war, leaders, other cultures, and technological change.
Lesson 6: Ancient Civilizations
- Myths are stories related to religious beliefs in gods and goddesses that were told in ancient civilizations to explain natural events and to teach lessons.
Lesson 7: Medieval Times
- A plague is terrible, contagious disease that kills many people because there is no known cure.
- A coat of arms is a shield design that symbolized values and characteristics of an individual or family during Medieval times.

- A historian is a person who researches past events and writes and talks about why events occurred and what changed as a result of the events.
- People can learn from history.

- Transportation describes how people get from one place to another.
