- Place value: the value of a digit based on its position in a number
- Digits: the symbols 0 through 9 that are used to create numbers
- Ones place: the position on the right in a number
- Tens place: the position to the left of the ones place
- Even number: a number that can be divided into two equal groups and ends in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8
- Odd number: a number that cannot be divided into two equal groups and ends in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9

- Multiple of 10: a number that has 0 in the ones place and a digit other than 0 in the tens place; 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90
